Katy Perry is known for her over the top, enthusiastic music and her uniqueness as a musician. Her album covers are always very eye-catching to the audience which again relates back to her music genre; pop/dance. Previously ‘I kissed a girl’ her album cover was very animated for instance, the font is overly bold and bright colours along with poker dotted effects. This was used on a slight angle to again relate back the individuality of her work. The colour blue has always been associated with a 'male’. As we can see on this album the contrast between the blue and pink is purposely used. This is because in general girls mainly kiss boys, whereas the cover is playing around with the name of the album and the colours represented to each gender.Kiera Molloy
