Cd Advert

This is a CD advert of Keshas’ album which was used for a billboard. He stylises in the genre of R’n’B, as she is originally an American singer-songwriter and rapper. Instantly we see the poster is very noticeable, from the capitalized, jagged font and the contracts of black and bright pink. It allows the poster to become very noticeable, to attract the audience. The contrast between the capitalized font and the lower case font, directs the audience to look at the important parts of the poster. For instance, we see “ANIMAL” is capitalized where as “debut album” remains in lower case. This is because ‘Animal’ is the album name, which would be more important to the viewers than knowing it is a debut album. The photography used in the cover is also very stylized, it shows personality as it is not shown as the ‘perfect professional’ everyday picture that we see on an album cover. This separates her from any other artist and shows her originality.
