We started the creation of the CD cover by cropping our background image to a 12cm x 12cm page.
We then used the magnetic lasso tool to select the image of the star with no background so we could move her to the background easily.
We then put them to the same screen which would allow us to begin editing them.
We made the background black and white and added a cut out filter which gave it an almost cartoon effect.
For the image of the star we added a black and white adjustment layer.
Using the adjustment layer we were able to erase some of the effect in order to reveal areas of colour underneath.
Finally we added the text which made the overall effect more professional
